Curriculum

The academy blends an innovative environmental sciences program with a quality academic curriculum that is in alignment with Ohio education standards. The many experiments, field trips and community involvement projects allow students to gain a greater understanding of science and social subjects. These experiences also are integrated with writing, reading, math and citizenship activities.

As Ohio begins its adoption of the Common Core standards, the curriculum inside the school will slowly transition to reflect these new expectations.

In the fall of 2012, students began to use the ACT-College and Career Readiness curriculum and testing. More information on this new program can be found at the ACT website.

Courses

In addition to the Ohio Common Core Curriculum, Wildwood offers a range of elective classes. In the high school, classes include Environmental Science, World Religions, Computer Education, and History of Film. We are constantly adding classes to our catalog in an effort to continue to grow to meet the interests of our students.
